Go out when everyone else stays home! This all-weather flat pedal shoe is constructed with a bootie living in the inner using the Leatt Hydradri membrane which offers 10K/10K waterproof protection. The water/dirt/mud resistant outer shell keeps most water and mud away from the inside speed lace system.

How about the grip? Well, this shoe features Leatt RideGrip™ Pro rubber compound which is softer than the standard RideGrip™ rubber. This means pedal connectivity is even better and the shoe will hold a better grip in slippy conditions.

The improved WaffleGrip Pro sole pattern is an inverted version of Leatt’s WaffleGrip. This allows shorter pins to dig deep into the sole and delivers great off bike traction when you need to walk.

We design our 7.0 with ample forefoot room to accommodate thick and warm socks. If you prefer snug fitting shoes, we recommend you go a half size down.

If all-weather performance is what you are looking for, then the Leatt 7.0 Hydradri shoe is the perfect match!

Mountain Biking UK Magazine, bad-weather shoe grouptest, January 2024
Grouptest WINNER, no other shoe tested can beat the Leatt 7.0 HydraDri for riding in cold and wet...

Leatt’s winter flat shoes offer impressive comfort, thanks to their true to size fit and cozy insulation. That makes them good for colder, not just wet weather. The zippered boot design does a credible job of keeping water out, and our feet remained dry during testing. The speed-lace system is tucked inside the waterproof zi, keeping it clean and offers a secure and snug fit. Not only does the cuff extend a good way up, but with its elastic opening and popper fastener, it fits close to the ancle and tucks neatly under riding pants. There is plenty of bite from Leatt’s “RideGrip Pro” outsole, which keeps your feet attached securely to the pedals. The mid-sole balances stiffness and comfort well, and we never felt any harsh feedback. A bonus is the Active Carbon insole, claimed to be anti-bacterial, anti-odor and quick drying -> 4.5 of 5 Stars

no doubt they’ll last and last

a must have product for our climate and thus have been an instant hit with me both when riding and indeed kept on in many a subsequent late-night bike wash

highly waterproof yet flexible

That big surprise here for me is that the HydrDri 7.0 shoes are really just foul-weather shoes, not winter shoes. In fact, they don’t feel overly warm at the moment when we are still in the death throes of winter. But in the same size 43, these shoes do offer a bit more room for thicker socks. That means I can go with merino ski socks to stay warm in freezing temps, but I will still be able to ride in these waterproof shoes when temps warm up.

But the cuff stays tight against my leg, and stays under slim-cut riding pants, so the mud stays out, my feet actually stay dry while riding super sloppy wet trails, and you can just hose them clean at the end of the ride without worrying about wet socks. And when I’m worrying about hunting for grip under my tires on slick trails and muddy off-cambers… I have had sticky predictable grip on my pedals

I usually had resorted to non-cycling-specific boots for winter platform pedal riding. And now I wonder why I didn’t get proper winter flat pedal shoes before.

really are more versatile

On the outside, the HydrDri 7 shoes have a durable outer gaiter shell that is highly waterproof yet flexible, also with heel and toe reinforcement, a waterproof zip and a secure snap closure at the top that fits snugly but comfortably against your leg. and under your pant leg. Then there’s the same premium WaffleGrip Pro x RideGrip Pro sole for maximum platform pedal grip

waterproof, warm, and fairly comfortable

The snow is melting so slowly and the Leatt 7.0 HydraDri flat pedal shoes have clocked up a few hundred miles in really lousy weather - which is hard to tell! They're waterproof, warm, and fairly comfortable, even with thicker socks
